My life in Norway

Hey! or as we Norwegians says  Hei

Hope that all of you are enjoying the summer time.  Its almost 4 weeks since i left the beautiful island of Hawaii and I just have to say, that you people are so lucky when it comes to the weather conditions (remember it, and don't` take it for granted that the sun shines every day). Its quite different over here, not that the sun does not shine at all, but OMG.! It has been a long time since I've been with temperature´s that are swinging so fast. You can wake up from one day to another and suddenly experience that the temperatures have drooped from a comfy summer day to a cold fall day.

Takk for gaven Sindre

Two days ago we had a enormous summer storm, and all the streets of Oslo (Main capital of Norway) got flooded and it was worse than I ever have experienced in Hawaii. I was so happy and lucky that my love picked me up in the car after a long day at work. (thank you) on our way home we saw several cars that had engine problems due to the amount of water in the streets. Home safe we had little time. I was going to my friend Sindre who had arranged a summer party at his place. And the thing is that when Sindre has a party you better be prepared  to make a fool of your self in a costume. He is one of my closest friends that loves to masquerade parties as much as I do ha ha ha. What a Night! I did not stay to long as I had to work on friday.

I have saved the best to the last. Last weekend me and my love went to celebrate his good friend Carl and his lovely bride to be Jenya in Berlin. This is one of the most  beautiful weddings I have been to in my life. Jenya and Carl Thank you for an amazing weekend. I just also have to say that this was a night I met a lot of nice people.

Jenya your looked amazing in that dress! and i know that you husband had no words as you walked down that aisle. You both looked so beautiful! Again, thank you <3 I also have to say that

I'm still searching for a job related to what I have been studying, but it seems like everyone in this small country has taken their summer vacation. The only thing I have to do is to keep my chin up and keep on going. :) This is where I can take advantage of studying in Hawaii. After living there for two years, you adapt to the feeling and Aloha/Hawaiian life, which keeps you relaxed in stressful situations. The only thing that you got to remember is to not stress and that things will always work out as long as you give it time and stay relaxed.

Hey everyone!

Hey everyone!

The time has been flying so fast since I came home. So here is a little update for you!

The day I came home I got a lovely surprise from all the lovely people here in Norway. First I was greeted with flowers from my love and later on my mom actually managed to arrange a surprise for me. Everyone who knows me well knows that is almost impossible to plan a surprise with out me finding out. But she did and it was lovely! We had Cava and shrimps with garlic bread, witch is a Norwegian summer dish. After that I started to look for a day job. Because after living in the U.S. for two year and not working, there was not much money left. I was really lucky! And got a part time job at Baker Hansen which is a café. I have now been working there a few times and the people that I work with are super nice and welcoming. The reason why I took a part time job and not a full time, is to be able as well have the energy to search for a job that is related to what I have been studying for four years. But you can’t think that the right job is just in front of you when you have been gone for two years and I think that this is my benefit. In my mind I believe that you need to work to survive. That means for me to take the jobs that you are offered with a smile and be thankful that you can get a job so you can pay your bills. So when you are stable (paying your bills not drunk). you both have the energy and the right mind-set to for fill your dreams and search for your dream job.

I cant say that I don’t miss the aloha spirit, the rainbows and the white sand etc. But I know that Hawaii is always going to be a part of me and that it has changed my life in so many ways.

I want to share some of my Norwegian Aloha with you:
